Ascension YOUth
There is a reason for the capitalized YOU in our YOUth Ministry heading: it indicates the committment we have to YOU through, by and with Jesus Christ our Lord. The YOUth Ministry program at Ascension serves youths ages 11-18 in a variety of programs that include worship, service and fun activites. Our junior and senior high YOUth Groups meet on the FIRST AND THIRD SUNDAYS from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall during the school year and once a month on the 3rd Sunday during the summer. We also participate in Diocesan youth events and go on regular outings. JOIN US! FRIENDS WELCOME!

Photo above: On February 22-23, 2008, youth from Church of the Ascension, Trinity Parish, Immanuel, and St. Thomas's Parish participated in a 30-Hour Famine at Trinity Parish. World Vision sponsors this program to raise money to ease world hunger, provide clean water, and to increase awareness. We fasted for 30 hours and participated in activities, worship and service around changing the world. We broke our fast with Eucharist followed by a simple supper.
